While speaking at a week-long conference in Northern Washington, it was my good fortune to become acquainted with Craig and Sharon Lofthus. Over the course of several days together they informed me of their unique work with The Father's Ranch Ministries. I was immediately impressed by their winsome disposition, heartfelt compassion, and deep burden to bring physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to young-adult women living with the serious consequences of various addictions, eating disorders, abuse, and unplanned pregnancies. Moreover, as my wife and I had personal conversations with several of these young women, it quickly became apparent that TFR was not only unique in its approach, but also exceedingly effective. One young woman after another shared stories of struggle and subsequent transformation through the power of the Christian gospel and the sufficiency of the Bible. They each expressed a deep gratitude to God for leading them to TFR. One year ago I had the opportunity to visit the ranch itself. Its holistic emphasis became even clearer to me as I witnessed firsthand the balanced measure of Bible study, community life, and rural activity. For many of the young women who have left unhealthy environments, TFR is a safe and loving context that contributes to their present restoration and future success. I have served in the pastoral ministry for 24 years. I now occupy a professorship at a theological seminary where I teach students preparing for pastoral ministry. It is, then, with some measure of experience that I wholeheartedly endorse The Father's Ranch Ministries. I, myself, consider it a privilege to support this great work with my prayers and economic resources. With every enthusiasm I commend it to you as a life-transforming financial investment.
