When I arrived at TFR, I was struggling with sin and its effects (depression, anxiety, etc.). I knew that I needed help and accountability as I sought to repent from my sin and draw closer to the Lord, and that is what I received at TFR.

At the ranch, the focus was on God and His Word. Morning and evening devotions, bible classes, bible study, "Prayer and Share," discipleship, and local church attendance were part of our weekly schedule. We also enjoyed working on the ranch: taking care of animals, working in the garden, helping to maintain buildings and grounds, and more. Being taught to take my thoughts captive, to make them obedient to Christ, and having discipline in my life have helped me greatly. I have come to understand more fully what has been proved by my experience since I was saved: God's Word is sufficient in dealing with the issues of life. I sought help from the psychological community for years, but I have found that nothing sets the captive free like knowing and believing Truth. "Salvation belongs to the LORD" Psalm 3:8!
